Is there anything you can’t find in the attic? It’s cluttered with all sorts of old and weird stuff – your grandpa’s carpentry, your grandma’s china set, an old pendulum clock, a box of Christmas toys you long forgot you had and water skis that haven’t been used for generations. Somewhere in the corner, you also spot an old TV and a stack of tapes, one of them saying ‘Amanda the Adventurer.’ Vague memories rush into your head – something from your earliest childhood, just bits and shreds, and a puppet face of a dark-curled girl, something strange about her smile – so you pop the tape in and… Amanda the Adventurer 2 sets off!

Beware of Amanda, she’s not that simple!

So what do you see? Just a puppet girl named Amanda, teaching kids about colors and shapes and shit. But then things start to get weird. Real weird. Suddenly, the puppet girl is talking to you, specifically. And it’s not just about colors and shapes anymore – now she’s telling you to do things, to complete tasks and solve puzzles. And oh, the jump scares? Yeah, there are plenty of those too.

But here’s the real kicker – as you progress through the game and unlock more tapes with more episodes, you start to realize that Amanda has a hidden dark side. Like, she’s not just a cute puppet girl anymore. There’s some serious creepy stuff going on behind the scenes, and it’s up to you to figure it out.

Enjoy the thrill and have a wild VHS ride!

It all mounts as the game progresses. The puzzles get harder, the jump scares get scarier, and the stakes get higher. Things unravel way too fast, giving you little time to get ready for another spooky scene. And the very tone of the story slides down into some kind of an eerie fairy tale, all the way to a complete nightmare.

And the fact that it’s one tape after another, provided that you coped with the previous task, and you just can’t watch them chaotically, keeps you in suspense all the time. You want to know what happens in the end, what the big reveal is, but it’s not going to be easy. You’re going to have to work for it. Or else… Let’s just say, it wont’ end up creepy.

But damn, it’s worth it! When you finally unlock that last tape and see what’s been going on this whole time… it’s a trip. A total mind bug. So if you’re looking for a game that’s equally charming and alarming, easy and challenging, Amanda the Adventurer is the way to go. Just be prepared to lose some sleep over it!
